Event Description
Bengali is the fifth most spoken of all native languages worldwide. After completing the month-long signature Deep Learning competition on Bengali Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) last year, we at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, BUET now focus on another computational challenge. This year again, in partnership with Bengali.AI, we welcome participants to attend the DL Sprint 2.0 and play around with the first multi-domain large Bengali Document Layout Analysis Dataset: BaDLAD, as a part of BUET CSE Fest 2023 presented by BJIT. On top of that, we have a prize pool of a whopping 𝟐𝟎𝟎𝐤+ 𝐁𝐃𝐓 for the winners! 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐢𝐬 𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚𝐥𝐥, 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐨𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬. 𝐀𝐧𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐭𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐜𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐞. What is the application process?

Will it be held online?
The first phase will be held online and hosted on Kaggle. The competition link is available from June 18, 2023. The final round will be held on the premises of the Department of CSE, BUET
Do I need to show any verification documents?
You might have to show verification documents at any stage of the competition if the DL Sprint 2.0 Organizing Committee wishes to verify you.
Can someone use my name and participate in the competition?
No, we do not tolerate any kind of misrepresentation.
Is this competition only for BUET students?
Nope. This is an open for all competiton, regardless of institution. Graduates and professionals can also join.
Is there any age limit?
No.
Are the participants required to attend the competition physically?
For the final onsite round, at least one member of the team should be present physically at the premises of Department of CSE, BUET.
